Culture Catch Salon Invades Austin During SXSW*, Pt. 2!
Many may not remember the Alamo, but they remember the madcap lads (and lass) in the rolling CC RV during SXSW* 2006! Come March 14th 2007, it'll be time once again for the CULTURE CATCH RV ROAD SHOW. This year we’ve secured a fantastic new venue on 5th Street, Canvas Bar & Gallery, and it's reserved for us for the entire week. With our CC SALON swirling inside, it’ll be very difficult to maintain our low profile. (Have you ever spent a week eating, sleeping, partying on an RV in the heart of Austin? Ever see Spinal Tap?)
CULTURE CATCH ARTIST SALON
Presented by EV, Mophie, Podango, Ultimate Ears, and Energy Enhancement System
March 13-18, 2007
2 PM - 2 AM
CANVAS BAR & GALLERY, 105 East Fifth Street (& Congress), Austin, TX 78701, (512) 391-9181
CULTURE CATCH will transform the CANVAS BAR & GALLERY into a 3,000-square-foot multi-media cultural experience complete with video projections, interactive sound and light installations, an amazing gallery installation from Skot Kees, choreographed dancers, and general goodwill curated by local scene stealer Dave Wolfe and Culture Catch. In addition, each day will feature audio and video podcast interviews by Dusty Wright of CultureCatch.com, performances from some of the smartest artists, dancers, musicians, and performers in Austin, and other culturally hip happenings.
Plus every night we will be giving away cool gifts from Mophie, EV, Griffin, Ultimate Ears headphones, and more.
For your all-access laminate you must either RSVP or locate one of Cardinal Cyn's Austin Alleycats.
All artists/performers/music industry folks, please join us daily from 2-6PM for a drink, some downtime, maybe cure your hangover with our friends from EES, and our smart culture fun.
peace,
Dusty & Richard
